Description Robert Half has an open position for an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment based in the Odessa, Texas area. Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Publish financial information to journals and ledgers
Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources Requirements - Demonstrated knowledge of numeric data entry
Billing experience preferred
Code Invoices experience highly preferred
Invoice Discrepancies experience highly valued
Background working with Coding Invoices
Comprehension of Invoice Data
Good understanding of Coding Invoices
Adeptness in data entry
Practical knowledge of Perform Data Entry
10 Key Accounting experience
Billing software experience desired
Experience with Invoice Coding
Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
General familiarity with High-Volume Data Entry
Prior experience with customer invoices
Expertise in Monthly Billing
Previous experience working with Invoice Entry
Expertise in Accounting Functions
Deep understanding of Accounting operations
Hands-on experience with High-Volume Invoicing
Earlier work involving Code Invoices
Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
