Description If you are an Accounting Clerk wanting to work in the transportation equipment manufacturing industry, you won't want to miss this excellent opportunity from Robert Half. In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the Odessa, Texas area.How you will make an impact

Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

Post financial figures to journals and ledgers

Requirements - 1+ years of relevant experience

AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required

Practical knowledge of data entry

General familiarity with switchboard phones from 1-10 lines

Strong familiarity with Invoice

Enter Invoices experience preferred

Foundational knowledge in Invoice Entry

Experience with Monthly Invoices

WIP - Work In Progress experience desired

Proven knowledge of Prepare Invoices

Well-founded grasp of Purchase Orders

Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
