Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry.The RoleThe Shop Technician I primarily in the shop disassembling, assembling and repairing frac valves.Pay Starts at $19.30. Can be adjusted with experience.Schedule: 6:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday with the opportunity for overtime. On-call periods will be required.What you will do:

Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times

Assemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment

Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test frac valves based on customer communications

Read and follow standard operating procedures

Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop, work area, and equipment

Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities

Be responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon as practicable

Operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products that weigh up to 50 lbs.

Maintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy

Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times

Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting

Available on 24-hour call to respond to customer needs on special occurrences

Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance

Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times

Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times

Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change

Performs other duties as assigned

What you will have:

Three to six months of equivalent work experience or training

Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic

Working knowledge of frac valves

Previous experience with hand tools, power tools and air tools

Physical Demands:

Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

Work Environment:

Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration

Noise Level: Moderate
