Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk based in Midland, Texas. This role is integral to our team, providing assistance to the Office Manager and acting as a representative for employee communications. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of our operations, from HR tasks to invoice coding and EDI submissions. Responsibilities: Serve as a liaison between employees and owners, facilitating effective communication. Assist in HR-related tasks, including managing HRIS and other human resources software. Handle worker's compensation, EEOC, and unemployment matters. Assist with invoice coding and EDI submissions. Support the Office Manager with special projects as needed. Use Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks. Perform account reconciliation and manage accounts payable and receivable. Handle data entry and invoice processing tasks. Utilize skills in coding invoices to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Manage a growing team, currently at 42 employees, with the potential for more as the company expands. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation Experience in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Familiarity with billing procedures and data entry Competence in invoice processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, and QuickBooks Knowledge of SAP, HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems Experience in Human Resources (HR) administration and management Familiarity with human resources software Ability to code invoices Experience in coding invoices Accounting Clerk certification or relevant field experience Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
