Position Information Position Title Coordinator-Retention Communications-Restricted to current employees Department Student Success & Persistence Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus FLSA Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Summary of Position Responsible for development and implementation of student retention outreach and communications. Support departmental student success processes, programs and initiatives. Conduct success related data assessments; track and report outcomes, and support college-wide retention efforts. Supervise academic studio tutors.Minimum Required Education Bachelor ’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in recruiting /retention, education, counseling, student services, and/or marketing. Prefer degree in counseling, communications, marketing, student services, education or related field.Minimum Required Experience Two years wage earning experience in counseling, academic retention, student services, higher education and/or marketing-communications. Experience using automated customer relationship management systems ( CRM ) or related database technology preferred. Experience working with adult learners, first generation, at-risk, and military students.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in customer relationship management ( CRM ), databases and electronic mass communications.

Skilled in use of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Excel and Access), as well as database software and management, Boolean logic, File Transfer Protocol ( FTP ).

Demonstrated ability to query database and student information systems (Ellucian Colleague preferred).

Familiarity with statistical data collection/assessment tracking and reporting.

Familiarity with the distance education environment.

Working knowledge of project management and program development.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, educational colleagues and the community at large.

Must have initiative, creativity, flexibility and resourcefulness in fulfilling work assignments and implementing long-range program improvement.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively and in a timely manner.

Salary 1J/Per Salaried Pay Scale

Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - M-Thur 7:30-5:30, Fr 7:30-11:30
