Position Information Position Title Adjunct Instructor-Automotive, Open-Entry/Self Paced FLSA Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time Part Time Department Automotive Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus Salary $20.00 per hour Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - Part-time position, 19.5 hours per week. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support program needs. Summary of Position Responsible for educating and training students in various aspects of automotive systems, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance in an open-entry, self-paced environment. This is an in-person position that involves developing and delivering curriculum, providing hands-on instruction, assessing student progress, maintaining tools, equipment, and facilities, and fostering strong industry connections to prepare students for successful careers in the automotive field.Minimum Required Education Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education requiredMinimum Required Experience 3-to-5 years of recent paid work experience, exclusive of teachingASE Certifications: G-1, A-4, A-5 ORASE Certifications within one year of hire Preferred: Master ASE Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of and Abilities

Automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components.

Various diagnostic tools, equipment, and industry-standard repair procedures.

Automotive technology trends and emerging technologies.

Instructional design and adult learning principles.

OSHA safety standards and hazardous material requirements

Skills to

Communicate effectively and present/convey complex technical concepts.

Solve problems and think critically.

Use diagnostic equipment and tools for hands-on demonstrations.

Organize and manage time and tasks.

Use an LMS (e.g., Blackboard) to deliver curriculum and track student progress.

Work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Ability to

Engage and motivate students with various learning styles and backgrounds.

Design and deliver hands-on training activities and assessments.

Maintain industry partnerships and collaborate with local businesses.

Stay current with advancements in automotive technology

Update curriculum accordingly.
