Looking for experienced Mechanic with Tools to work on a flat rate. Must be able to do work both in Richmond and at body shop in north Houston (not often in north Houston). Conditions can be hard sometimes as we do not have a mechanic shop with lift yet. I buy wrecked cars, body shop puts them back together, you will be fixing anything else that's not covered at the body shop. A big part of the job is diagnosing issues as we have no history on the vehicles and we try to find the issues as economically as possible without just replacing all the parts that it could be. The last mechanic was with me for a year and a half but went to work for Tesla and doesn't have the time to do the work anymore. I am currently backed up with 6 vehicles waiting so I'm looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
This is a part-time opportunity that you can do as your schedule permits as long as your able to devote time every week when we have cars waiting.

-This is for contract work- get paid once a week and you are responsible to pay your own taxes.
- Must have significant experience - must have experience working as a lead mechanic at least 5 years, preferably with newer cars as all the cars we work on are usually 10 years or newer with most being 5 years or newer.
- must have commercial grade scanner, it's necessary with all newer cars. Also a way to update software for vehicles and modules a big big plus.
- if you already have a job as a mechanic that is OK, you can work on our cars on your off time as long as we schedule it. Work on weekends or your days off. (No night work available.
-Must have all your own tools. If every so often we have to get a specialty tool. We cover that, all regular tools you should have already.
-Pay starts at $35/hr your efficiency will determine if it can go up from there after you have been with us for awhile.
