A heavy equipment rental and servicing company located in Northwest Houston is seeking a driven, professional and experienced parts counter salesperson who is knowledgeable in car/heavy equipment parts and has experience as a parts counter salesperson.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ordering and processing customer and/or vendor parts requests through over the counter and telephone sales
Maintaining and managing inventory
Accurate and timely data entry for parts, sales orders purchasing, receiving, customer debit/credit, physical count maintenance, and warehousing process
Purchasing and expediting parts and materials
Maintain parts processing and filing of invoices and other documents that pertain to daily job functions
Receive, unload, and put-up parts shipments
Gathering and shipping of parts for special parts, returns, and in support of warranty claims
Assist in returning cores back to factories as required
Reconcile invoices and purchases
Maintain daily activity of all parts and warehouse personnel
Maintain a clean and orderly parts area and warehouse
Assist service and sales department as needed
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Clerical skills; touch typing, filing, data entry, basic spreadsheets, email and faxing
Must be organized and detail oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to work well with others and maintain positive customer relations
Mechanical aptitude – some knowledge of construction machinery
Proven customer relation skills
General knowledge of heavy machinery
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years previous counter sales experience
Experience with SAP inventory system
Bilingual is preferred, not required
BENEFITS:
Pay is $18-$28/hr. (DOE)
