PRECISION MACHINE SHOP IS URGENTLY SEEKING AN APPLICANT WITH 5-10 YEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING ON CNC LATHE AND MILLS (MAZAK AND FANUC CONTROLS). Located in Alvin, Just south of Houston.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be able to interpret blueprints, drawings, or sketches to set up machines for operation.
Understanding how to operate the machine, configure proper settings, and load proper tooling per job.
Machine product to specification, and be able to use appropriate precision measuring equipment to check product dimensions to ensure they are within tolerance.
To be successful in this position you must possess the following QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 5 years of CNC machinist experience.
Ability to complete job from set-up to completion (including first article inspection).
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Be proficient with Calipers and Micrometers. Experience with depth gauges and other QC-related instruments is a plus.
Have experience working with a variety of metals.
Be punctual, reliable, and have a strong attention to detail.
Personal Tooling preferred.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Work Hours: M – F 7:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. with some Saturdays if needed – 7:00 a.m. – ? in fully air-conditioned shop.
