JOB TITLE: Saw Operator
Mobile Temporary Services is assisting an industrial manufacturer to hire a saw operator.
LOCATION: Houston, Texas 77066
SCHEDULE: Night Shift - 4 pm - 4 am, Monday to Thursday
PAY: $17/hr.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate saws, including band saws, circular saws, and table saws, to cut materials according to specifications.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements.
Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, ensuring accuracy and precision.
Inspect materials and finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
Maintain and perform routine maintenance on saws and related equipment.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with inventory management, including tracking material usage and reporting discrepancies.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Load and unload materials using forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed.
Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to company standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
One to three years of experience in a manufacturing setting in material handling and/or inventory control is preferred.
Experience with operating saws (circular, table, band).
Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pressured, and fast-paced environment while following instructions.
Does not mind getting dirty from handling materials.
Ability to comprehend production requirements.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
