Job Overview:
Faircroft is currently seeking a highly motivated professional Handyman with skills in multiple trades to join our Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day maintenance tasks, ensuring our rental properties are kept in excellent condition. Basic knowledge of dry-wall repair, carpentry, painting, electrical systems, landscaping, and irrigation systems is needed to perform daily job tasks inside and outside.
Top candidates will be multi-skilled professionals with a strong customer service ethic and the will to complete all assignments in a timely, professional manner.
A company vehicle will be provided; the ability to work a flexible schedule may be required. This position is located in Katy, on the west side of Houston.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform minor repairs, including patching drywall, painting, basic plumbing, and fixture replacements
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks across all properties
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly
- Assemble furniture, install shelves, and perform other general labor as needed
- Perform basic landscaping tasks and assist with irrigation maintenance as needed
- Respond to work orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Support skilled technicians or contractors when needed
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License with good driving history
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Electricity, landscaping, or irrigation system knowledge is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform tasks that may require standing, bending, kneeling, or climbing ladders for extended periods of time in various environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
