Job Description: A General Laborer specializing in cleaning and maintenance is responsible for keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe. They perform basic maintenance tasks on tools and equipment, ensuring that construction sites and facilities remain tidy and functional. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this role:
Responsibilities:
1. Perform Cleaning Activities:
○ Dusting, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
○ Cleaning up after tasks to keep the area free from debris.
○ Removing metal objects (ie nails) from parking lot
○ Picking up Trash in all common areas (including parking lot)
○ Clean units / bathrooms as necessary (Pre move in cleaning and post move out cleaning)
2. Basic Repairs:
○ Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks or filling gaps on walls.
○ Replace light bulbs and address other minor maintenance issues.
3. Collaboration:
○ Work closely with other laborers, professionals, and facilities or maintenance managers during renovations.
Requirements and Skills:
● Proven experience in a similar position.
● Ability to use hand and electrical tools.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
● Reliable transportation.
● Lives within 10 miles from 3520 FM 723 Rosenberg, TX 77471
● Can commit to 8-10 hours a week.
● Provide 3x references (names / phone numbers) and copy of Driver's License.
Expectations:
● Visit facility 1-2x per week
● Maintain facility / common area in clean and orderly status
● Communicate with management any issues or cleanliness associated with property
● Log hours worked and turn in on a weekly basis
● Reliable and Trustworthy personal behavior: "Do what you say you're going to do, and show up when you say you will".
