Description We are seeking a Tax Manager - Corporate to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role involves overseeing the company's tax-related procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing the use of relevant software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax, auditing, and familiarity with ATX Tax Software and CCH Sales Tax among other systems. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all corporate tax duties, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws Utilize ATX Tax Software and CCH Sales Tax to streamline tax procedures and maintain accuracy Conduct annual income tax provision and prepare consolidated tax returns Manage accounting functions, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and up-to-date Handle complex tax-related issues for high-net-worth individuals, providing expert advice and solutions Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or issues Monitor and update the company's accounting software systems regularly Oversee and manage the financial documentation process, ensuring all records are maintained accurately Provide expert advice on tax-related issues, contributing to strategic decision-making.Requirements Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a corporate setting Proficient in ATX Tax Software and CCH Sales Tax Demonstrated experience in performing various accounting functions Capability to handle annual income tax provision Proven experience in auditing Strong understanding of compliance requirements and procedures Exceptional skills in creating and maintaining documentation Experience in preparing and filing consolidated tax returns Prior experience in dealing with high-net-worth individuals Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Advanced knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
