This role provides hands-on experience in coordinating equipment selections, project pricing, proposals, submittals, and other key project details. As a Sales Intern, you will work closely with Sales Engineers, Equipment Estimators, Project Coordinators, customers, and manufacturers to ensure the smooth and timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. Developmental Role Duties include:

Determine project requirements, constraints, and responsibilities to meet the customer's system design, installation and maintenance requirements.

Prepare detailed takeoffs, pricing, and proposals based on plan review and specifications.

Participate in Bid Day coordination.

Support team of Sales Engineers on assigned projects to optimize the job through the stages of product selection, specifications, reviewing plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering, and redesigns.

Produce equipment submittals and prepare correct project related data information and equipment for order entry.

Read, understand, and interpret building plans & specs familiar common system designs.

Resolve internal and external technical support requests or issues related to product selection, application, specification, installation, etc.

Assist with Outside Sales Engineers to develop customer relationships achieved through visits, entertainment, negotiations, and networking.

Shadow Sales Engineers' Funnel Reviews and Sales Order Forecasting.

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong technical and mathematical aptitude.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Education and/or Experience Required:

Pursuance of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Distribution is a plus.

Exposure to MEP Consulting, Architecture, Design Suite, ACAD or CAD, General and Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry a plus.

Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
