You will provide risk control analysis and reporting for global and regional activities and advising daily on risk positions, value and potential risk / exposure. The role is located in Spring, TXWhat you will do

Execute daily risk control processes and risk reports; working alongside trading to manage market and operational risk

Ensure daily data integrity, validate positions, and reconcile data inconsistencies with responsible traders

Develop and maintain forward curves and support validation of applicable prices

Monitor and report daily mark-to-market, P / L, and position matching (physical vs. paper) reports to management

Construct, analyze and validate Value at Risk (VaR) models for complex transactions; define / execute periodic stress testing

Identify exceptions to established limits and tolerances; remedy through authorizations or corrective actions

Advise on the financial impact and risk exposure of new strategies, activities or transactions

Ensure exchange (ICE, CME, Baltic) and regulatory (MIFID, EMIR, D-F) compliance

Maintain general knowledge, expertise and awareness in the energy trading risk management area

About youSkills and Qualifications

3-10 years of experience in petrochemical trading, financial or energy risk management

Attention to detail with a strong process execution focus

Strong analytical skills, and knowledge of financial instruments

Strong leadership, communications skills, and presence in discussions with senior management

Good understanding of decision analysis techniques, statistical modelling and comfort in modelling issues involving risk and uncertainty

Good understanding of financial analyses and application to energy transacting

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

Familiarity with ExxonMobil Trading organization

Experience with or knowledge of financial derivatives, risk evaluation and management techniques

Strongly preferable to be familiar with trade capture and nomination / scheduling systems; must be proficient in Excel
