AECOM is seeking an Architectural/Building Design Project Manager based in Austin, Houston, or Dallas, TX, to join our team as we capture, lead, and execute interdisciplinary building design projects with a focus on Higher Education or Public Safety/Municipal Work. Our team operates in a cross-discipline, collaborative, and design-focused environment. This role will be responsible for managing the proposal, scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. Responsible for planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, and identifying and addressing scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects.AECOM provides a unique opportunity to lead a team of individuals bringing world class expertise, with a collaborative mindset, working to deliver projects that move the world forward. With the backing of AECOM’s robust bench of experts across various fields, this position would allow for an individual to cultivate meaningful relationships with clients and peers, leading highly qualified teams to win and execute projects across the State of Texas.This role has been identified by regional and global leadership as being strategically critical to our growth in the Texas market, and the corporate infrastructure supporting the role will be unmatched by peer A/E firms.Job Summary/ResponsibilitiesActing as a primary point of contact with the client throughout the project lifecycleWorking with interdisciplinary technical leads in the coordinated successful execution of projects in design and constructionWorking with local and regional business development staff and business line leadership to identify and pursue clients and projectsReviewing contracts, preparing fee proposals and project execution strategiesManaging and leading all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and toolsManaging sub-consultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performanceLeading the team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budgetManaging changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize riskPerforming risk management to minimize project risksMaintaining project documentation control
