Occupational Therapist - Per DiemSUMMARYFunction: Provides direct professional occupational therapy services for hospital and clinic patientsScope: Impacts patient treatment and recovery.Essential Job Functions:· Provides occupational therapy intervention to referred patients according to department standards.· Provides evaluation, treatment and discharge planning.· Records patient treatment and response in medical record, submits charges, prepares written patient programs, submits daily logs and other pertinent documentation.· Instructs staff and students in evaluation and treatment strategies.· Participates in quality assurance program.· Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISIONReceived: General supervision by the Director and Associate Director, Rehabilitation Services. Clinical supervision by Supervisor, Occupational Therapy. Medical supervision for individual patients from the referring and/or attending physician.Given: Assigned staff.REQUIREMENTSEducation Required: Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.Education Preferred: Advanced degree in physical therapy or related field.Experience Required: None.Experience Preferred: Occupational Therapist experience in an acute care setting, preferably oncology.Licensure/Certification Required: Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Texas issued by Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR).Licensure/Certification Preferred: NoneEducation Required: Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.Licenses Required: All of the following: Current license to practice Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas issued by Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
