Description Growing O& G company in Houston is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager. As the Financial Reporting Manger you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, essential for informed decision-making and regulatory compliance. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and strong leadership skills.Financial Reporting Manager Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations.

Develop and maintain footnotes and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD& A) disclosures to accompany financial statements.

Oversee the technical accounting aspects of financial reporting, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and policies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and disclosures for reporting purposes.

Stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging accounting standards relevant to the O& G industry.

Assist in the preparation of ad hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management or external stakeholders.

Support the annual external audit process, including coordinating audit requests and addressing auditor inquiries.

Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment with organizational objectives.

Requirements

Financial Reporting Manager Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.

Minimum of 6+ years of experience in financial reporting, with exposure to the Oil & Gas industry preferred.

Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

Experience with technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition, leases, and hedging preferred.

Familiarity with financial reporting software, such as OneStream or ActiveDisclosure, is highly desirable.

Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
