The TBP will be responsible for engaging business leaders and managers to help drive critical business outcomes in alignment with organizational strategies, programs, projects, and initiatives. The TBP will exercise the full scope of HR practices & accountabilities including talent and performance management, organizational capability, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and legal compliance. This position also provides consultation related to acquisitions, integrations, employee relations, workforce planning and retention, recruiting, as well as relative involvement related to data automation, data gathering, analysis and reporting.An effective Talent Business Partner will advance the objective of increasing employee, management, and organizational engagement and effectiveness. The role is part subject matter expert, business consultant, Center of Excellence (CoE) liaison and project/program manager within scope of assigned work and with assigned client groups. The position primarily works with VP, Director and Manager level employees on matters broad in scope or with a high degree of complexity. While the role is primarily strategic and operational/analytical rather than administrative and tactical, there will be times when it is required to be “hands on.” This position will report to a Senior Manager, Talent Business Partner.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Business Partnering: Initiate and participate in projects that drive business improvement, engage with employees/managers to understand culture and connect with the team, and participate in and lead change initiatives and communication efforts. Actively seeks to understand and influence business priorities and outcomes.

HR Subject Matter Expertise: Supports business leaders with interpretation, implementation, and application of core HR or people-related policies, programs, and best practices related to talent management, HR planning, culture/employee engagement, and legal compliance.

Relationship Management: Builds credible and engaging relationships with stakeholders. Serves as an advocate and influential partner by providing coaching and guidance to management and employees regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

Leadership & Navigation: Supports critical large-scale organizational changes, makes policy interpretations and practice decisions, develops frontline leaders and successors, integrates and connects business partners with Centers of Excellence resources.

Project Management: Leads and/or participates in projects identified by HR and/or the business, including collaboration with the Talent PMO.

Process Improvement: Identifies, recommends, and implements improvements.

Employee & Leadership Development: Partners with the L&OD CoE in the design, development and delivery of training & growth experiences. Facilitates talent reviews and assessments with upper-level management.

Employee Relations : Partners with business leaders and managers to confidentially conduct and lead in-depth and impartial employee relations investigations. Compliance manage and resolve employee relations matters in accordance with company policies, processes, procedures and employment law (as appropriate). Mediates difficult interactions and advises on/conducts complex investigations.

Performance Management : Coaches Managers on performance management best practices including effective documentation to improve individual & team performance. Actively manages performance and behavioral issues to resolution.

Talent Acquisition/Management : Assists leadership in scoping new role definition, compensation leveling, facilitates hiring approvals, interviews, and selection recommendations.

Compensation management : Partners with the Compensation CoE to determine competitive and accurate wage information for jobs. Identifies and addresses market-based pay concerns. Advises on incentive program design. Navigates employee LTI plans and scenarios.

HRIS: Approves various workflows in SuccessFactors and Workday, pulls reports, and assists in analyzing data and metrics.

Working Conditions:

Hybrid work schedule – 3 days per week in-office, 2 per week remote.

Majority of work performed by utilizing a computer in a seated position.

Ability to travel 10% of the time throughout the year, dependent on client group needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources role working in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Working and practical knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including some or all of the following: talent acquisition, organizational learning & development, talent management, employee relations, compensation, performance management and employment laws.

Preferred Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a HR Business Partner directly assigned to and supporting business clients.

Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with executive leaders in communication, decision making, problem solving, conflict resolution, and influencing.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate between details and overall direction setting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.

Identify opportunities, take initiative, and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of current HR/business processes and practices.

Self-directed and self-motivated.

Demonstrated skill in using HRIS and MS Office tools to process, analyze and present data and information to various audiences, including to help management make data-driven decisions.

Ensure compliance with local employment laws/regulations.

Manage and implement special projects as assigned.

Support and bring value to the Talent team by participating in cross-departmental projects.
