Accounting Clerk

Description Our client is looking for an accounting specialist to support the bond team at their location here in Houston. This role is 100% onsite and they are looking to fill the role quickly. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly bond renewals and new bonds with accuracy and efficiency. Review the prepared bond renewals and new bonds to ensure all details are correct. Process P-5 Inactive renewals, ensuring all necessary steps are taken for successful renewal. Respond to brokers’ requests in a timely manner, providing necessary information and assistance. Undertake electronic filing of all documents prepared, ensuring all records are up to date and easily accessible. Conduct projects upon request, demonstrating a proactive approach to task completion. Support other positions in the office as needed, showcasing flexibility and team collaboration. Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook) to effectively perform job functions. Display strong attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard. Apply skills in Light Accounting, Data Entry, Bond Financing, Approved Invoices, Coding Invoices, and Microsoft Excel to effectively perform job functions.Requirements Demonstrable skill set in light accounting and data entry Proficient understanding and experience with bond financing Ability to manage, process and approve invoices Experience in coding invoices accurately and efficiently Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work in a team and independently as required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Adherence to confidentiality and data protection protocols Relevant certification or degree in accounting or related field would be an advantage.Please apply today if you are interested!
