Level 3 Installer
We are seeking a skilled Level 3 Architectural Metal Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing finished metal products in the field. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with power tools and construction materials. As an Installer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet quality standards and are completed efficiently.
Job Summary:
Leads daily field operations by overseeing material handling, tool readiness, and task execution and reporting to Team Lead. Oversees Level 1 & 2 Installers to ensure quality work and adherence to safety standards. Manages timekeeping, monitors productivity, and ensures all FieldWire tasks are accurately tracked and updated. Acts as the primary point of contact for daily progress reporting and next-day planning with the Team Lead.
Requirements
5+ Years Experience in Architectural Metal Installation
Working knowledge of handling Brass, Stainless Steel, Copper, Powder Coated Materials
Installation techniques of Cladding, Handrails, Shelving Units
Product Layout at job sites to include working off plans, laying out materials of plans, measuring in the field
Work with all hand tools and know what tools are needed for the jobsite
Must be proficient with a laser and tape measure
Key Responsibilities:
Material & Tool Management
Check and confirm all material is loaded properly and all material needed for the day is present. This will be done by overseeing Level 1 & 2 Installers to ensure material is transported correctly to protect from damage during movement.
Ensure all tools needed for that day’s assignments are present and on hand at the jobsite before the work begins.
Team Oversight & Task Execution
Ensure all tasks from Team Lead are completed on a daily basis by your and lower level installers.
Oversee and direct Level 1 & 2 Installers to ensure materials are handled properly and correct procedures are being deployed during installation. This could include, but not limited to, correct cutting, installing, welding, grinding, and measuring.
Responsible for leading and executing of the punch list by working with, and directing, Level 1 & 2 Installers.
Reporting & Direction
Report to Team Lead for daily tasks.
Any communication from the customer in the field must be directed to the Team Lead and not handled by anyone else.
Attend Orientation Meetings as directed by the customer.
Safety & Compliance
Responsible for maintaining the group’s safety and ensuring others are safe around you. This will include, but not limited to, all OSHA standards, ensuring no one is on their cell phone, sleeping, located in hazardous areas where we have been instructed not to be, has on all the proper PPE, monitors the weather conditions and communicates them to the Job Foreman, ensures proper guards are in place for climbing on equipment or in-air suspension.
Timekeeping & Productivity
Responsible for ensuring the team is clocked in and out of the correct job for the day.
Responsible for monitoring work hours and break schedules by ensuring Levels 1 & 2 are on task.
Task Tracking & Reporting
Responsible for ensuring all FieldWire tasks are completed on a daily basis and updated with pictures and/or notes. This could also include moving the task to another dept.
Responsible for communicating daily updates to Team Lead with information on tasks or providing clarity to Team Lead or any other manager who requests information.
Responsible for daily updates to Team Lead to prepare for next site visit.
