Position Overview:
The Shipping & Receiving Assistant will support the department manager with daily operational tasks, including data entry, packing list creation, spreadsheet management, and basic customer communications. This role is ideal for someone organized, proactive, and team-oriented with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing and processing shipping documents, including packing lists and labels
Maintain and update shipping and receiving logs and spreadsheets
Communicate with customers regarding shipment updates and basic inquiries
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate outgoing and incoming shipments
Ensure accuracy in data entry and document management
Provide general administrative support to the Shipping & Receiving Manager
Help foster a positive, team-focused work environment
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or administrative support preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data entry
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
