Service Technician- Flooring and Furniture Cleaning Technician
GBS Group, Inc. has an IMMEDIATE need for a part-time Service Technician to join our team at our Dallas, Texas Office. GBS Group, Inc. was formed in 1979 and is one of the largest independent certified textile service companies in the United States with offices in Dallas/Ft. Worth and Chicago. We are a unique company specializing in office interior restoration and maintenance which include carpet, fabric & leather furniture, workstation panels, tile & natural stone, wood furniture & flooring conditioning & repairs, and water emergencies. Our clients are predominantly Fortune 1000 and large regional companies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Service Technicians perform duties including the cleaning and maintenance of commercial office interior assets such as carpets, tile and natural stone surfaces, workstation panels, fabric and leather seating. (This is NOT a janitorial job!)
Able to communicate well in English (both verbally and in writing)
We will provide you with comprehensive PAID training
You will learn customer service and technical trades to correlate with GBS Group quality standards.
Operating of flooring equipment including extractors and buffing machines.
Responsible for cleanliness and care of company vehicles.
Account for and return all cleaning tools, hoses, chemicals, etc. to the truck before departure from the job.
Uphold all company policies and procedures.
Positive Attitude & team player
Provide customers with exceptional service and adhere to professional conduct at all times.
Position requires repetitive “push/pull” movements with heavy extraction equipment
Able to move and/or lift at least 60 lbs.
Work Hours:
- Monday through Friday evenings between the hours of 4pm and 12am
- Saturdays - daytime hours at least 1-2 Saturdays per month
(Total hours will vary dependent on job work order)
$20.00 per hour starting pay and compensation is based on cleaning production
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
· High School Diploma
· Professional demeanor and positive attitude
· Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
