Overview
The Optometric Technician plays a vital role in supporting optometrists in providing high-quality eye care services. This position involves a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to examination. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Duties
Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and equipment.
Conduct preliminary tests, including visual acuity assessments and pressure checks.
Utilize various diagnostic instruments and equipment to gather patient data.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
Educate patients on contact lens care and eyewear options, order and process contact lenses.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms and equipment.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.
Skills
Must be reliable and have reliable transportation to perform this job.
Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.

Pay: Starts at $18.00 per hour (must have certification)
