The integrated full-service solutions leverage a 97-year legacy in event management as well as new technologies to deliver moments that matter.SummaryThe Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, specifically relating to insurance expense, pension plans and investments.This position will support our Finance team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform monthly journal entries for investments, company owned life insurance, deferred compensation plans and rabbi trust.
Perform monthly and annual allocations of insurance expenses to branches, working closely with treasury and captive insurance companies.
Prepares audit schedules and assists with annual audit.
Research on US GAAP guidance on accounting and reporting issues.
Perform other month-close journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned.
Assist with Accounting transformation journey through development of financial policies regarding operational changes, internal control requirements, and technical accounting requirements.
Support process improvements and adhoc projects in the accounting department.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization and with cross-functional teams.
Education & Experience
Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or business administration from an accredited institution is required.
Minimum 3 years of progressive work experience.
Strong excel and system skills.
SAP experience is required (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA).
Hyperion experience a plus.
Experience in technical accounting preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with strong customer service focus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate accounting and financial information to others.
Strong Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint skills with ability to perform pivot tables, v-lookup, and other Excel formulas without assistance to analyze data quickly.
Ability to prioritize and meet time-sensitive deadlines and detail oriented.
