INTRODUCTIONThis position is responsible for the performance of manual and machine tasks in the setup, maintenance, and operation of the silk screen press to accurately produce the product to customer specifications.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reads work orders to determine the setup specifications and instructions

Determines screen mesh needed and makes screens accordingly

Determines the type of ink needed and mixes batches accordingly using scales and formulations

Starts machines and performs trial runs to verify accuracy of machine setup

Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine if adjustments are required

Assures the image is registered and square then runs samples to adjust and assure print quality and color is in accordance with the spectrophotometer readings

Follow all SOPu2019s relevant to the job

Performs routing adjustments during the press run and maintain quality throughout the run

Maintains records of daily production information

Removes and replaces damaged product using hand tools

Performs daily and monthly maintenance and troubleshooting

Performs other job duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

1-year experience running, troubleshooting, and performing quality control on a press of similar size and complexity

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions

Basic computer skills for data entry

Ability to perform intermediate math

Mechanical aptitude is a must

Effective decision-making skills

Must be willing to work overtime

Good attendance is required

Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations
