The Rincón-Cortés lab studies the neurobiology of developmental and maternal affective dysregulation and motivated behaviors following adversity using behavioral, pharmacological, and neural techniques focused on the mesolimbic dopamine system.The Research Assistant I will work under the supervision of Dr. Rincón-Cortés as well as independently and collaboratively. This individual will provide technical assistance in support of various research projects and conduct research activities according to research protocol. This person will also conduct some administrative aspects (scheduling experiments, record-keeping, data management and study documentation).This position is grant funded. Initial employment will be one year with the possibility of additional years contingent on the availability of funds. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in one of the basic sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or in daily interactions in a public services environment.Preferred Education and Experience: REQUIRED :

Bachelor’s degree in one of the basic sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least two semesters of working with rats in a neuroscience research setting is required.

PREFERRED :

Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience preferred.

Priority will be given to those with expertise in working with rats.
