Patient Care Assistant (PCA) —RadiologyOur radiology department is looking for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to assist in providing top-notch care to our Patients. You will be responsible for guiding them through the process and assisting wherever you would be needed.WORK LOCATION : Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231​​​​​​​ WORK HOURS : PRN Rotating shifts as needed; some weekend availabilityDEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS :· Level I Trauma Center· Comprehensive Heart Attack and Stroke Center· 8 years in a row, Texas Health Resources has Placed #1 on Fortune’s list of Best Workplaces in Healthcare· Cover ED, Inpatient, Outpatient, and Surgery· 76,570 procedures performed in 2021· Team of 40+ staff· Holiday rotation requiredQUALIFICATIONS:· High School diploma or equivalent is required.· 6 months related experience preferred.· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.WHAT YOU WILL DO :· Provides assistance to patient according to plan of care.· Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.· Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
