This role drives the Lean Six Sigma process and philosophy throughout the Continuous Improvement function and leads major projects.Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and translate them into technical specifications.· Lead large scale Lean Continuous Improvement projects across enterprise.· Coordinate resources, team members, track team action items, lead the change management attributes of the project, and communicate appropriate steps of the process as the project progresses.· Facilitate the completion of all local ongoing project plans or process improvement initiatives being performed by Lean Phase 2 Class participants.· Maintain awareness of project status and results and provide guidance as the project progresses.· Coordinate with other managers to research, analyze and recommend newly established project work or process improvements.· Prepare and submit site-specific recommendations with analytical projections for inclusion in master plan for the applicable business segment.· Proactively seek ways to apply technology to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends and competitors’ practices; stay abreast of industry trends, technology changes, and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance production technology and process flows as well as operating and tactical plans to improve efficiency, product quality and manage cost.· Provide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance.· Act as an advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved in resolving problems.· Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies.· Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.· Perform other duties as needed.Required Experience and Education:· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.· 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.· 1-3 years of management experience.· Lean manufacturing experience preferred.Competencies:· Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.· Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.· Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.· Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.· High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.· Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.· Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.· High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.Other Pertinent Job Information· This employee will be responsible for direct reports.· Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.· Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.· Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.· Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.· The work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.· May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.· The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.· The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, career opportunities, and an environment of creativity and growth.
