The Corporate Director of Finance oversees a large portfolio and helping to ensure strategic plans are effectively developed, business performance and results are effectively reported, and financial policies and procedures are consistently implemented. The Corporate Director of Finance's role is one of overall leadership supporting hotels and resorts within their assigned area. The individual must demonstrate leadership, training skills, effective communications, and a high level of technical and analytical competence. This position is based in Dallas, Texas and on-site. Responsibilities
Work closely with operational leaders to set goals and support field based management teams to ensure such goals are achieved
Work with the senior operational team to provide competitive analysis of like properties to enhance productivity and create “best of class” results at all properties
Participate in property budget reviews and owner meetings
Moniter and improve forecast accuracy for each property within the assigned territory
Ensure maximization of profitability while balancing guest and associate needs to ensure long term sustainability of the operation
Participate in the monitoring and updating of the Finance SOPs as new policies and procedures are implemented and/or existing practices require modification or enhancements
Support the hotels' financial disciplines as needed, sharing best practices and maintaining efficiency
Ensure proper control environment
Assist in the implementation of new systems and programs by participating in the beta testing and sharing detailed knowledge that will result in a successful rollout for the company at large
Assist with acquisitions and new hotel openings as directed
Assist in the identification and deployment of task force for hotels in need
Participate in succession planning to ensure Finance bench strength supports future growth
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; advance degree a plus
Area or regional director of finance or a hotel director of finance in a multi-property environment with a minimum of five years’ experience
Resort experience preferred but not required
High level of computer, analytical and technical skills
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to have a flexible schedule and willingness to travel up to 50%
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and various accounting software programs
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
Strong communications and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Willing to relocate to Dallas
