As a Wastewater Engineering Project Manager, you'll help with expanding the water/wastewater services practice serving clients in the public & private sector markets. This position will manage projects involving water and wastewater systems improvements and new water/wastewater infrastructure. You will oversee the development of plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis, and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing, and selection, and work directly with the owner. You’ll be responsible for managing and directing active projects with current clients, directing, and mentoring junior staff to educate them on design parameters, plant layout, project integration and regulatory criteria, and performing project pursuit for new opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and participate in networking and client development. Responsibilities
Manage and execute work on water and wastewater, water utilities planning, and stormwater projects
Lead project teams in developing bid-ready plans and specifications
Strong understanding of required permitting in Texas
Knowledge of how to execute design tasks on complex water/wastewater projects
Authorize Engineering Design Reports and Permit Applications
Experience with Construction/Commissioning phase services and routine facility operations
Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews on projects
Pursue client management and business development opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in Texas
8+ years of water resources engineering experience
Experience with working with public sector clients and with engineering firms, and water/wastewater treatment equipment

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, technical writing, and in-person
Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation
