Wireless Network Administrator (Cisco Meraki)

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Wireless Network Administrator in Carrollton, Texas. The role will involve deploying and managing network equipment, transitioning network environments, and ensuring optimal network performance. This position will be placed within the telecom industry, working in a dynamic and evolving workplace environment.Responsibilities:

Deploy network equipment including the installation and configuration of switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points

Adhere to company standards and best practices during all equipment deployments

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Meraki network devices to maintain optimal performance

Utilize Meraki Dashboard for network performance and security optimization

Perform rip/replace projects on existing network equipment (WatchGuard or Sophos firewalls, NetGear switches etc.)

Lead the transition of networks from Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) setups to enterprise-level infrastructure

Develop and implement scalable network solutions that meet business growth needs

Operate and manage Cisco Meraki switches and firewalls as part of the network architecture

Conduct configuration management to ensure network consistency and integrity

Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently

Requirements

Proficiency in managing Cisco Meraki router is required

Experience with Configuration Management is necessary

Perform installations of full Meraki suite (Access Points, firewalls, switches etc.)

Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network issues

Perform rip/replace projects on existing network equipment (WatchGuard or Sophos firewalls, NetGear switches etc.)

Must be capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred

Relevant certifications such as Cisco Meraki Network Operator (CMNO) or similar are advantageous

Must adhere to all company policies and procedures

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills as the field evolves.
