Senior Business Systems Analyst (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) – Austin, TX); Multiple positions available. Analyze and design IT solutions that support PIMCO’s client reporting activities. Work with developers and stakeholders to deliver dynamic and timely solutions on the HUB vendor platform and PIMCO proprietary systems. Use SQL databases and big data technologies on the back end for ad hoc analysis and QA. Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and business owners to design client reporting systems and enhancements that support business objectives. Analyze users’ needs to determine software requirements. Confer with software developers, engineers, programmers, project managers, and others within PIMCO technology and interfaces. Recommend upgrades as appropriate for existing programs and systems. Collaborate within the Technology division to create optimum system functionality.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field and 3 year of experience in the job offered or in the financial services field. Must also have education, experience, or training in each of the following: Database and system design; User interface design; Asset management industry, including SQL, JIRA, QA Automation, Agile Project Management, and Excel; Architecting, testing and reviewing software applications and frameworks; and Risk analysis and reporting for all types of fixed income and equity investments. Experience may be gained concurrently.
