Position Summary:
The Groundskeeper and Handyman role is crucial for the smooth operation and maintenance of The Cedars Ranch. This full-time position involves a wide range of responsibilities, from maintaining clean and tidy grounds to addressing repair requests and assisting in property flips. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain clean and tidy grounds, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff.
-Promptly fix issues within our units and grounds and address guest repair requests to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of our guests.
-Organize and maintain the utility shed, ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition and easily accessible. Maintain inventories of replacement parts.
-Assist the General Manager and all staff in property flips, contributing to the efficient preparation of our units for incoming guests.
-Move and arrange furniture as needed, adapting spaces to various guest needs and event setups.
-Provide flexible weekend coverage and be available for on-call hours.
Requirements:
-Proven experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or a similar role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
-Strong handyman skills, with the ability to perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks.
-Excellent organizational skills, with the capability to manage the utility shed and maintain tools and equipment.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to tasks and scheduling.
-Availability for weekend coverage and on-call hours, with a flexible weekday schedule to accommodate the needs of the property.
-A commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest service.
-Good communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
