The ideal candidate for this position is enthusiastic and ready to interact with prospects and residents on a daily basis, being able to communicate clearly and assist in resolving issues.

Applicant Requirements:

o Assist Property Manager with reviewing financial reports, preparing files for audit, and analyzing leasing performance data

o Collect and process rent payments, deliver required notices, and process move out final account statements

o Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria

o Demonstrate community and apply product knowledge to clients’ needs by communicating the features and benefits; ability to close the sale

o Have prospect complete application and secure deposit in accordance with the company procedures and Fair Housing requirements

o Collect and process applications for approvals. Prepare leasing documentation and complete move-in procedures

o Ensure apartment is ready for resident to move-in on agreed date

o Oversee resident retention, including renewal processing and scheduling resident events

o Participate in outreach marketing activities on a regular basis to generate prospective residents

o Conduct market surveys and shop competitive communities, conduct market Research on construction, lease-ups, employers and marketing efforts of comp

o Ensure all maintenance repairs are handled satisfactorily by contacting residents with completed Service Requests on a weekly basis

Job Requirements:

o High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred

o One (1) year in previous leasing experience required

o Must possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail, as well as sales ability

o Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor under all circumstances

o Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

o Fair Housing Certification, willingness to obtain prior to interacting with prospective residents

o Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem

o Valid Driver's License

o Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English

o AMSI property management software experience preferred

o Bi-lingual is a plus
