We are looking for a bilingual Spanish-speaking receptionist to come join our team. We handle mainly immigration and some criminal defense cases. Past receptionists have eventually become paralegals in our office. The reception desk will give you a great vantage point from which you will learn how cases are handled and become familiarized with office procedures and systems.

Part-time (mornings) and full-time work are available. Experience is not necessary, we will train the right candidate.

Requirements:

- Ability to follow instructions

- Fluent in English and Spanish

- Competent with Google apps (email, calendar, drive)

- Fast learner

- Easygoing

- Organized

- Responsible

- Sharp

The most important requirement is having a genuine desire to help people in need. Most of our clients are going through a stressful event and come to us for help. Dealing with people going through such a difficult experience requires being kind, and thoughtful. Handling interpersonal dynamics with tact is a must.

Main duties include:

- Handling the phone, determine how to route a call

- Greet clients

- Scan documents, make copies

- Handle incoming and outgoing mail

- Take payments, prepare daily deposit

- Create paper files

- Translate birth certificates from Spanish to English (we have templates)

- Order supplies from Amazon, make sure we don't run out of office supplies

- Assist the attorneys and paralegals with specific casework tasks

How to apply:

Send us a message. Attach your resume. In the body of the email, introduce yourself in Spanish, in one sentence; in the second sentence of the body, tell us when you would be available to start in English.

We look forward to hearing from you!
