Dan Williams Company a Heavy Highway Construction Company is now hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Mechanic Helper/Fuel Lube Maintenance Technician to join our team!
Heavy equipment mechanic and mechanic Helper, Position requires applicants to repair a variety of complex equipment, tools and vehicles involving mechanical hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and electrical systems. Diagnose mechanical defects in trucks, dump trucks, tractors, water trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators and other diesel and gas-powered equipment; determine extent of needed repair; Inspect used Parts to determine the cause of mechanical failure and evaluate whether parts are still usable or need to be replaced, air and hydraulic brake systems, clutches, differentials, axles and suspension, ignition and electrical systems, computerized and electronic ignition systems, steering and control systems and generators; perform instrumentation repair; rebuild hydraulic pumps; repair; adjust and repair loader bucket assemblies; change cutting edges and teeth on loaders and excavators.
Perform welding; use a wide variety of test equipment and shop tools, perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment and trucks, change and repair tires.
Fuel Lube Maintenance Tech primary responsibilities will be to perform PM maintenance, monthly and daily inspections, fuel, grease, small/light mechanic and shop duties.
Mandatory Requirements:
-Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems and successfully repair equipment.
-Ability to safely use hand and power tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices
-Requires the ability to lift, push or pull and move up to 70 pounds and must be capable of climbing, kneeling twisting and bending in a varied environment.
-Must have Driver License and Clean Driving Record
-Current CDL with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements.
