Seeking experienced, detail-oriented, reliable and mature caregiver for 1-1 in-home care of a sweet elderly woman for one day a week. Hours are Monday 7am-7pm.
Seeking a caregiver who is already employed part-time and simply seeking to supplement their income.
Must work well independently and with the rest of the team. If you are not a team player, no need to apply.
The woman you will be caring for is hard of hearing so you must be able to project your voice while also being respectful. You must speak English fluently.
You will be working alone during your shift but we all work together to get household tasks completed and stay on top of her care and what’s needed at the residence.
Grocery shopping is done by family but they rely on us to provide them with a complete list. Day caregivers notice what items are getting low on so it’s mainly a matter of just writing it down when an item starts to get low so we don’t run out
Hours are 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm each Monday. Must be able to perform showers.
Pay starts at $18/hour. Pay through Direct Deposit on a weekly basis. W-2 Employee. Direct hire, Not through an agency.
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current car insurance, social security card. Must have a clean background. A background check will be performed and references will be checked.
Tasks you will be helping with include:
Taking blood pressure, helping with Showers , toileting and brief changes, helping her to get dressed, preparing meals/light cooking ( frozen meals available but caregivers and family prepare fresh food a few times a week), companionship, medication reminders, ensuring she gets a little exercise (walks) laundry as needed, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning the kitchen after meals, keeping track of grocery items needed, taking out trash, vacuuming as needed, sweeping, mopping, documenting detailed notes of work performed during each shift and communicate to the team of any changes in condition. Most of the work load is done by caregivers working during the day but night shift caregivers help with tasks too so work load is not burdensome at all,
Client is ambulatory and is able to get up on her own but she is unsteady so requires a Walker when walking. She sometimes gets disoriented/ confused. Must provide structure so that she is at least a little active during the day and sleeps at night.
Family is in town and sometimes visits. Please have a love for caring for the elderly and a heart for being of service to others. Must have at least 2 professional and 2 personal references, at least 3 years caregiving work experience. Serious inquiries only.
We are a small team and hold team members accountable. Reliability and punctuality are an absolute must. If you are someone who is repeatedly late, please do not contact us. We recently lost an amazing caregiver and wonderful team player who moved away and we are looking for one other person to add as a team member.
