Looking for a female caregiver over the age of 18 to care for our young adult daughter with special needs in the Steiner Ranch area. Responsibilities include assisting with grooming (bathing, dressing, etc), prepare meals/snacks/feeding, daily living activities, light housework, assist with lifting and transitioning, reading books, listening to music, napping, laughing and having fun! After we build a good working relationship, we would like the caregiver to drive to therapy appointments in the area. Caregiver will enjoy a sweet girl who is a joy to be around.
Daughter is nonverbal, non-ambulatory, with cognitive disabilities, however her personaility is precious and she loves people. Everyone who meets her enjoys her company and infectious giggles.
All applicants will have a phone interview and a second interview in person. A background check and Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification will be required. Both of which can be coordinated through the family employer. Training will also be provided. Due to parents working in home office, limit space, and the attention our daughter needs, it isn't a good fit for children to come with the caregiver.
Hours are Mon - Fri 12:30 - 5:30 and additional hours available on weekends, however we are flexible with weekend hours.
