Encantada Cocina + Cantina, located a few blocks from the Historic District of Georgetown Square, seeks dedicated and enthusiastic line cooks to join our team.
Applicants must work fast and efficiently on the hot line to produce quality food. They will work closely with the kitchen manager and kitchen team, making a team effort in production. Depending on your working station, you will be responsible for grilled, broiled, roasted, fried, or sautéed items prepared during service. Portions of food items before cooking. Other duties include carving and portioning, preparing batter or breading, plating, garnishing cooked items, and preparing appropriate garnishes for broiled, roasted, fried, or sautéed foods. Responsible for maintaining a sanitary kitchen workstation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain proper food handling and safety procedures for all products in station.
Preparation, production, and plating of menu items.
Thorough recipe and procedure knowledge for all items produced from the station.
Prepping and stocking all needed products and supplies for the station.
Breaking down, reducing, and cleaning the station at the end of the shift.
Maintaining and cleaning stations before, during, and after shifts.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS OR RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting other line stations and/or prep kitchen with production as needed
Communication status of station and need to lead cook.
Performs necessary cleaning projects, including thoroughly breaking down and cleaning equipment regularly.
Assist with stocking and cleaning in other stations as needed.

Saturday 11 am-10 pm
Sunday 11 am-8 pm
