The purpose of this position will be to assist the Fleet Program Manager. This positionwill be responsible for establishing and maintaining key management systems at various sites and compiling asset data. Maintaining fuel levels and overall condition and cleanliness of Austin Energy Pool Vehicles. Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Assists in minimizing downtime on equipment by ensuring that vehicle repairs are performed in a timely manner.

Audits and tracks repairs to ensure that Fleet Services charges are appropriate.

Assists in the development of budget and equipment specifications, and monitor operating costs.

Coordinates the development of competitive bid proposals and assist in the recommendation of vehicle selections that will ensure cost effectiveness and compliance with specifications of industry standards.

Assists with the vehicle purchasing process.

Organizes, develops and evaluates long and short-term projects.

Plans and executes evaluation processes to compile and present statistical or other analytical data to management.

Develops, composes and/or presents special reports, correspondence, graphs and charts.

Develops, monitors, and evaluates project procedures for effectiveness and accomplishment of the stated goals.

Works with various staff of other City departments to resolve issues and implement effective tools.
