Position Summary:This position will assist with Data Collection activities for the Food is the Best Medicine (FBM) Study. FBM is a home food delivery-based program for postpartum women located in Austin, Texas. Assists the Community Health Worker (CHW) in the field, primarily in the participant’s residence. Takes notes during home visits and enters data in a secured shared drive. Assists with surveys, which may involve conducting pre/post and weekly surveys over the phone with participants, and entering data in Qualtrics. Conducting qualitative interviews may be required. Assists with data analyses and reports. May contribute to social media page dedicated to the moms in the study.Position Key Accountabilities:

Contacts study participants to schedule interviews and surveys, usually by telephone.

Establishes rapport with study participants in order to encourage complete accurate responses in surveys and interviews, as well as participants’ continuing participation in the study.

Works in the field by going to participants’ homes and assisting the CHW in their efforts.

Data entry of surveys may be required

Transcription of interviews may be required

Handles administrative details (ex. time and effort reports, mileage reports)

Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:Trained by project manager or principal on techniques to interview, complete questionnaires, and operate equipment.
