Here’s What You Need

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field and 3 years coordinating a residency or fellowship program and/or in a position in a centralized Department of Graduate Medical Education required or

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 years coordinating a residency or fellowship program and/or in a position in a centralized Department of Graduate Medical Education

C-TAGME w/ Bachelors degree upon hire preferred

C- TAGME w/High School Diploma upon hire required

What You Will DoThe Institutional GME Coordinator position provides administrative support to the Department of Medical Education at Texas Health Resources. This position assists GME Leadership, Program Directors, and Program Coordinators with educational and departmental activities. Responsible for the required accreditation processes and for monitoring, data collection/dissemination and organization of accredited Graduate Medical Education Programs.

Perform Required ACGME Accreditation Processes in Support of All GME Programs

Provides comprehensive administrative support to the System Director of Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official (DIO), including creation and editing of correspondence, reports, publications, educational materials, assessment data and ensuring timely completion of deadlines.

Assists in preparation of Sponsoring Institution and organizational commencement and orientation as well as any requested monthly/quarterly Department/Committee meetings and related GME events.

Collects, researches, enters, and tracks all information in databases as required for applicable accreditation organizations, including but not limited to, resident/faculty demographics, program information, board pass rates, and scholarly activity

Coordinates and schedules complex meetings: including room reservation, supply, AV needs as needed, creates agendas, prepares documents, coordinates calendars, facilitates logistics, and takes minutes as assigned.

Assists System Director of Medical Education with monitoring and updating GME website, New Innovations, NRMP, and other GME related websites.

Supports Department of Medical Education in answering inquiries from faculty, staff, trainees, and other individuals and assists with requests for information and material from the Department of Medical Education.

Performs other duties as assigned.
