We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team at Cutting Edge Foot and Ankle. You will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities:

1) Greet and warmly welcome patients in person and over the phone, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact.

2) Efficiently check-in and register patients, accurately verifying insurance coverage and demographic information.

3) Collect copayments and payments for services rendered, handling financial transactions with accuracy and confidentiality.

4) Assist patients with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and answering inquiries about services and procedures.

5) Manage patient medical records with precision, ensuring all documentation is complete, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.

6) Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient flow, communicating pertinent information and ensuring a seamless transition between check-in and examination rooms.

7) Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly ECW, proficiently to input and retrieve patient information, schedule appointments, and generate reports.

8) Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality, privacy, and professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements:

1) Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare facility in a Medical Receptionist role, demonstrating proficiency in patient check-in/out procedures and administrative tasks.

2) Comprehensive knowledge of insurance verification processes, including eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.

3) Proficiency in using EMR systems, preferably ECW, with the ability to navigate software interfaces efficiently and accurately.

4) Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.

5) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.

Benefits:

Competitive salary of $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

Full-time position with a schedule of 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Work Environment:
