Description We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to become part of our team. The role is situated in Nashville, Tennessee and will focus on processing accounting information, ensuring financial statements' accuracy, and preparing tax returns. The Staff Accountant will also be tasked with the review and organization of financial records and the execution of monthly bank settlements.Responsibilities: Efficiently handle the processing of accounting-related data Conduct reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal regulations Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner Conduct thorough inspections of account books to verify their efficiency and accuracy Organize and update financial records regularly to maintain up-to-date information Recommend strategies to minimize costs and increase revenue Perform monthly bank settlements to ensure financial accuracy Prepare necessary documentation for external auditors Requirements The applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. The applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Month End Close procedures is mandatory. The applicant should have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The applicant must demonstrate excellent proficiency in Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required. The applicant should have the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The applicant must show a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency. Attention to detail and accuracy in work is crucial. Familiarity with accounting software and systems is a plus. The applicant should be able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. The applicant must be proactive, with the ability to identify issues and resolve problems. The applicant should have a commitment to continuous learning and development in the field of accounting.
