Description We are seeking a skilled Sr. Accountant to join one of our growing client's team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be expected to handle various accounting tasks, ranging from managing general ledger accounts to assisting in the preparation and distribution of financial statements. This role is particularly suited for those who are proficient in the development and establishment of accounting policies and procedures, as well as operational strategies. Responsibilities: Analyzing account information and compiling entries for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses. Verifying, posting, allocating, and reconciling transactions to maintain and balance general ledger accounts. Assisting in the auditing, reconciling, and research of daily store paperwork and site-level discrepancies. Leading and performing cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fuel accounting functions. Contributing to special projects within the department and organization as required. Assisting in the review and implementation of process and system changes to improve efficiencies and business practices. Preparing schedules for interim and annual audits as assigned. Ensuring the appropriate handling and distribution of company funds while maintaining confidentiality of company, client, employee, and vendor information. Assisting in the analysis, preparation, and distribution of financial statements. Participating in compliance reviews and reacting productively to changes.Qualified candidates contact Daniel ShomoRequirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role is required. Proven proficiency in preparing annual budgets. Demonstrable experience in annual tax calculations and submissions. Solid understanding and experience in maintaining and managing general ledgers. Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements is required. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is a must. Strong familiarity with accounting software and systems. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A detail-oriented accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, is preferred.
