Mechanical Project Engineer - STEEL MILL

Manufacturing company needs a Senior Project Engineer, with experience in overseeing capital investment projects for manufacturing. You will have an opportunity to work in a state-of-the art, highly-automated manufacturing facility. You will oversee projects from preparation stage, through planning and execution, to the closing report.Will coordinate and direct all project activities and resources with managers and process engineers.Develop and implement projects for manufacturing process improvements, new manufacturing, equipment upgrades, and safety improvements.Participate in equipment selection and plant layout.Develop vendor relationships, provide written detailed scope of work specifications for subcontractors and vendors.Prepare bid packages for procurement.Provide project status reports, secure required permits and licenses for projects, ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations and policies.Responsible for developing cost estimates, SOP’s, resource planning, and end of project reports.
