Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Fire Protection Designer to become part our company located in Knoxville, TN. This position reports to the Design Manager and will serve as a fire protection systems designer and requires the ability to:
Work in a Team environment with a positive and helpful attitude
Create accurate, complete and code compliant CAD/BIM design drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler and special hazards systems
Self-start and work with minimal supervision
Effectively manage design tasks, project schedules and deadlines Job Duties,
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
NICET Certified Level III – Water-Based Systems Layout
5+ years’ experience in the Fire Protection field.
Proficient in AutoCAD / BIM Coordination.
Practical experience with HASS calculation software / Word / Excel / etc.
Verbal and written Communication skills.
Working knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards.
Prepare project drawings, specifications and schematics required to support the installation of fire protection systems
Perform Hydraulic Calculations, Flow tests etc.
Stock list drawings for fabrication
Maintain project drawing files, and associate records, and documentation tracking& maintaining as-built drawings.
Timely completion and processing of required paperwork.
Attend job meeting and coordination meetings as needed per job. We Offer:
