Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the non-profit sector, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves comprehensive accounting responsibilities and requires a well-rounded experience. The nature of work involves a combination of financial analysis, coordination of month-end processes, cash tracking, and overseeing payables among other duties. The workplace will be on-site.Responsibilities: Conducting thorough financial analysis to support decision-making processes Coordinating month-end procedures and ensuring timely completion Tracking cash flow and making necessary adjustments or recommendations Overseeing payables and ensuring accurate coding Establishing and maintaining control documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions Utilizing Dynamics GP for various accounting operations Handling account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Producing and maintaining accurate journal entries Managing the month-end close process efficiently and accurately Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role within the non-profit sector Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Solid knowledge of General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience with Month End Close procedures Familiarity with the Dynamics GP accounting software Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and lead a team High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation Must have legal right to work in the United States.
