Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Front Desk Specialist in our healthcare team in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. This role entails handling front office reception and administration duties within the healthcare industry, including managing patient data, scheduling appointments, and assisting with insurance and billing procedures.Responsibilities: Manage incoming communication, addressing inquiries in person or via telephone, and directing patients as necessary. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient communication for future appointments. Handle healthcare and patient data, including management and reporting of medical records. Utilize EHR SYSTEM and Medisoft for administrative duties. Use Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting data. Assist in navigating insurance and billing procedures. Direct patients to the appropriate areas for their appointments. Maintain a neat, presentable, and well-supplied front desk. Handle sensitive patient information in a confidential manner. Assist with patient registration and check-in/check-out procedures for appointments. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Front Desk Specialist role or similar within the healthcare industry Proficiency in EHR system and medical software Experience in using Medisoft software Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Understanding of insurance procedures related to healthcare Prior experience in contacting patients regarding appointments, follow-ups, and other necessary communications Ability to direct patients effectively within the healthcare facility Experience with patient check-in procedures and protocols Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
